Gilles Bonneau — Music ~Middle School Strings

Dr. Bonneau studied music in France at the Rouen and Chatou Conservatories and received a degree in Science from the Université de Haute-Normandie. Although primarily a violist, he studied both the violin and the viola in the United States and holds a degree of Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Texas at Austin. After teaching in the UT String Project, he was the String Orchestra Director at the Austin Waldorf School from 1997 to 2001 before joining the Girls' School of Austin when it opened in 2002. In the past ten years, he has also been teaching private violin lessons while remaining active as a performer in local bands and orchestras in the Austin area.
