Gary Poole — Middle School Math and Science

Mr. Poole has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M and a Master of Arts in International Relations from St. Mary's University. Mr. Poole is also a certified math teacher and has taught middle school math at Covington Middle School. Mr. Poole is best known on campus for his deep understanding of Texas native flora and fauna. He is a member of the Native Plant Society of Texas, the San Antonio Botanical Gardens, and the Sierra Club. His interests include natural history and Latin America. He also authored a book, Mexico By Rail. Mr. Poole is the father of two GSA graduates and is also a former trustee of The GSA. He has also served on the board of the Esperanza Peace and Justice Center and the Smart Growth Coalition of San Antonio.
