New GSA Board Officers
Don Vail was elected Chair of the GSA Board of Trustees at the January meeting. Don's daughter is a middle school student at the Girls' School. Don is currently the Austin American-Statesman's Manager of Market Research. Before then, he was employed in government relations at Rockwell International's Space Division and as the Executive Administrator of Earth Sciences at the University of Southern California.
Jennifer Hotz was elected Vice President of the GSA Board. She is a stay-at-home Mom with two daughters (although she is very rarely home!). Before she became a Mom, Jennifer was the IT Manager for a small office furniture store in Austin.

Gary Poole is the father of two middle school students, and was elected to serve at GSA Board Secretary. He has been a stay-at-home parent for the past eight years and is currently working on his teacher certification.
Amber Bennett is a friend of GSA and continues to serve as GSA Board Treasurer. She has been employed at Dell since 1998 and currently works as Director of Americas Commercial and Public Business Group financial planning and analysis. Prior to her Dell experience, Amber spent 13 years at IBM and graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting.
Kevin Madison was elected to the board at large in October. He is the father of a lower school student. Kevin is an attorney and the Presiding Judge for the cities of Lakeway, Bee Cave, Briarcliff, and Horseshoe Bay. Kevin is a former police chief and he was also director of security at Dobie Center and Dobie Mall while attending UT. He is an expert in safety and security matters and is called on as a consultant in these areas.
