Girls' School Campus Expands

The Girls' School has purchased the property next door along Windsor. This came up as a great opportunity for our school to gain some breathing room and some more options as we grow and develop programs. Genny Duncan made it all happen with her amazingly generous donation.

There are still zoning issues that will have to be resolved before we can use it as a school. We will be looking at what it will take to convert part of the house to classrooms, possibly as early as next fall. Our new Head of School, Lisa Schmitt, will use the other part of the house as a residence until that area is also needed and converted.

This new property will support our mission of providing superior, independent and innovative education for girls in a supportive, civil and challenging environment. The work on our campus facilities help make that happen but it is the dedication and talents of our wonderful teachers, our supportive parent community and especially our girls that really make this a special place.
