Art Show and Silent Auction
For Earth Week, 2008
Floating Art Gallery - II
Reception & Silent Art Auction: Sunday, April 27th, from 2-4 p.m.
at the AVEDA store at Barton Creek Square Mall
With the beautiful environmental art created by students at The Girls' School of Austin, art teacher, Nancy Hoover and the AVEDA Experience Center Team, Barton Creek Square Mall, have organized the "FLOATING ART GALLERY - II", a temporary installation and Silent Art Auction in support of the protection of clean water in the Gulf of Mexico and in support of Earth Week 2008.
Aquatic- and environmentally-themed paintings by all of our students, which will be on display at the AVEDA store from now through Sunday, April 27th, are intended to generate interest, concern, and action to help make clean water a global priority. The girls' work is breathtaking, poignant, and inspiring.

String ensembles from The Girls' School of Austin will honor the reception on Sunday with a musical performance under the direction of strings teacher Gilles Bonneau.
All sales of The Girls' School of Austin students' artworks will benefit The Gulf Restoration Network. The Gulf Restoration Network is a diverse network of environmental, social justice and citizens' groups and individuals committed to restoring the Gulf of Mexico to an ecologically and biologically sustainable condition.
