Message from the Board

With a new school year we welcome new families, new programs, and new classroom resources such as our new laptop cart that was acquired directly from GSA community contributions. This school's growth and development over the past couple of years has been astounding. The challenge now is to manage and guide that growth while retaining all that has made The Girls' School a truly special place. A major focus of the Board of Trustees this year will be to look at our future growth and the future of our school's campus. We have done quite well in our lovely, comfortable space. It is time now to seriously consider how to take the Girls' School campus to the next stage. We need a community room for any number of school events and meetings. We also would like to see a library and dedicated homes for our top-flight music and arts programs. Making these things happen will take time, community support, and some work by the Board and other volunteers. I can't say right now what the 3.0 version of the campus will look like or even when it will happen. I do know that the central focus will be to enhance the education of our girls and the enrichment of our programs, and that makes it something worth going after. More to come, everyone.
Don Vail
GSA Board of Trustees, Chair
