Service Learning

By the 8th Grade class

This is the second update from the 8th grade on our Service Learning project. We have been contacting organizations we'd like to work with, planning projects, and finding ways to update the whole GSA community on our progress. Next we are planning to meet with representatives from Child Protection Services, and Community Partnership for the Homeless. We are also setting up meetings with individual classes to discuss potential projects. In the next month we will host two knitting days to benefit Knit One Save One (www.savethechildren.org), and invite the whole school to Trick or Treat for UNICEF. We're especially excited that the 3rd and 4th grades will count the money we collect for UNICEF and report our donation amount at the November 6th Community Meeting. We will keep you updated as we plan more projects!
