Alice in Wonderland

On Saturday, February 21, GSA's One-Act Play cast put months of hard work on display at the Private Schools Interscholastic Association's Area 3 One-Act Play competition. Competing at St. Michael's against three other schools, the GSA ensemble took second place! Many cast members were recognized with individual awards as well: Izzy (Tweedledee, Card), Stevie (Tweedledum, Knave of Hearts, Card), Allyson (Mad Hatter), and Rowan(Edith, Queen of Hearts) were named to the Honorable Mention All-Star cast, and Brianna (Cook, Card), Kelly (March Hare), Gabi (Alice) were named to the All-Star cast. This was our first year to enter this competition, and only the cast's second opportunity to practice or perform on an actual stage!

Many people should be thanked for their work on the One-Act Play: the girls spent hours rehearsing for this event; parents contributed time, costumes, and props; Jonna Juul-Hansen worked with the actors to deepen their understanding of their characters; Carla Petterson volunteered at the event. In addition, this successful performance would absolutely not have been possible without the backstage help of Rory Garcia and Felisha Hooks.
