Note from the Board

After two years of working to secure a Conditional Use Permit to include the Windsor House as part of our campus, we are now officially a K-8 school. We will soon begin the planning of construction work on the house as well as other parts of the property, in order to accommodate more classroom space, additional parking spaces, and a re-routing of our drop-off and pick-up driveway.
The Class Agent program is working quite well, and all classes are urged to work toward 100% participation in the Annual Fund. At this point we have raised 60% of our $120,000 goal.
We have two new trustees. Melissa Schenker, parent of 5th grade Des, has accepted our call to serve on the Board. And architect and facilities and operations manager Bronson Dorsey has, too. Both of our new Trustees will have bios on the Board page of the GSA website within the next few weeks, so you can read more about them.
Many thanks for your robust participation at our Mayfield Park Fall Celebration. The weather was gorgeous, and the talent at GSA abounds. We had a record turnout this year (200!), which says so much for the GSA community and your continuing support of your daughter's school.
Last, it is my pleasure to be serving as the new Chair of the GSA Board of Trustees. I have large shoes to fill after Don Vail's chairmanship, and I and the other members of this very strong Board look forward to helping Lisa steer the school through the next phase of its future.
