Note from the Board

2010 will be a big year for facilities improvements on the GSA campus. For starters, we will be redirecting the driveway travel pattern and expanding the usage of Windsor House to accommodate middle school classrooms. And in addition to these new classroom spaces, we will install new windows and a new HVAC system.
To date, we have requested proposals from five architectural firms who have experience working with schools. As part of the requested work, we are asking for short-term construction plans for Windsor House as well as a campus master plan, which is long-term. You may know that the development of a campus master plan means focus groups and meetings, and you can look forward to being included in that process.
We are currently meeting with bankers to discuss financial options for construction on both the campus driveway as well as the house. We hope to complete all of this work by the beginning of the 2010-11 school year.
What about moving to another campus, you might ask? Our plan for now is to enhance the usability and beauty of our Tarrytown campus and continue to enjoy a robust academic program in improved facilities. The Board is very excited about taking the current GSA campus to this next level.
I wish all of you and your families a happy holiday season.
