Financial Aid
Through its Admissions and Financial Aid programs, the Girls' School of Austin is committed to an economically, ethnically, racially and religiously diverse student body. Admission decisions are made by the Admissions Committee on the basis of an applicant's talents and strengths and on her potential to thrive at The Girls' School and on her capacity to contribute to the School community. Financial Aid decisions are made by the Financial Aid committee on the basis of demonstrated need and availability of funds.
The Financial Aid process is separate from the admissions process and applying for aid will not jeopardize a girls' opportunity for admission.
Financial Aid is limited; parents should not expect to be granted aid greater than indicated by SSS. Financial Aid is re-evaluated each year as a family's financial circumstances may change from year to year; therefore, it will be necessary to reapply each year.
The Girls' School subscribes to the NAIS School and Student Service (SSS) to help evaluate a family's ability to pay. Families submit a Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) either online or as a paper form, directly to SSS, which then sends results of the evaluation to the School. Paper copies of the form are available in the GSA office. Please allow adequate time for paper forms to be processed by SSS (two weeks suggested).
