Student Admissions Process

The Girls' School of Austin values the diversity of our community and of our world, and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sexual orientation, or national origin. In addition, the Girls' School of Austin seeks to provide a superior education to students of all socio-economic backgrounds, and offers financial assistance to families demonstrating need.

Your daughter's education is critically important. Our application process allows us to become better acquainted with your child and will help you determine if GSA is the right choice for your daughter and your family.

To that end, we host an open house each month and attendance is the initial step to our application/admissions process. The application and other required forms are provided at our open house but are also downloadable, or can be mailed upon request. All materials must be completed fully and received by the Girls' School of Austin before the applicant may be considered for admission to GSA. Our application/admissions policy is as follows:

  • Parent(s) attends an Open House
  • Complete and submit application form with $50 fee
  • Submit teacher recommendations, standardized test scores, and school transcripts
  • Student shadows in classroom
  • Parent interview
  • Qualified applicants are placed in an "applicant pool"
  • Applications submitted after February 1 are considered on a space-available basis
  • Accepted applicants must sign contract and pay deposit by designated date

The Girls' School of Austin does not discriminate on the basis of religion, race, or national origin in the administration of its admission policies and financial aid programs.
