Firefighter Fever Hits GSA!

This month the kindergarten, 1st and 2nd graders had many visitors from our surrounding community including the C-shift from Fire Station #4. Female Firefighter Sharon Griffen focused on giving a woman’s perspective on being a fire fighter, and encouraged our students to dream that they can be anything regardless of their gender. We learned that Austin now has over 50 female fire fighters! The girls asked questions and then were given the chance to try on some of the very important firefighting gear.
