PTO Report

We are coming into the final stretch of the school year and I am pleased to announce we will vote on a new slate of PTO officers at the April 12 meeting at 2:00 p.m. Please join us at the school for our meeting! Cindy Bogard was nominated to become President and Jacqueline Jackson as Secretary. We are looking for an individual who is ready to step up their commitment and volunteer to serve as Vice President/Treasurer.

Please contact me if you are available to help in the 2007-08 school year. Many thanks to the current group of officers: Cindy Bogard, Sheila Skaggs and Vicki Faust for their service this year as well as our many committee chairs! I will continue to serve on the board next year as Past President.

Recent PTO dollars have funded the following:

• A $50 ticket to the May 6 Gala for each of our teachers and staff members.
• $455 to pay Ms. Lamare’s portion of the Middle School Trip to Houston in April.
• $500 plumbing expenses to fix the new “Teachers Only” restroom.
• Pencils, mugs and bumper stickers to help promoted GSA to new families.

It has been my pleasure to lead the PTO as President these past six months and I want to thank all of you for your support, suggestions and volunteer hours in making GSA it’s very best!
