Art Beat
By Nancy Hoover
What a marvelous and hectic Fall we’ve had!
The Blanton Museum field trip was a great experience for grades three through eight and confirmed our ideas that art, especially in the abstract, can be anything that you want it to be! The "spaghetti" sculpture was a big hit.
The Middle School is doing some beautiful work on their independent projects to enter in competition and to challenge their talents. Kindergarten and first graders have experimented with watercolors and autumn leaves, and learned shadowing with their pastel pear drawings. The second through fifth grade students had a great time with their "dream house" blueprints—there were some very ambitious houses!
