PTO Hosts First Annual Fund Kick-Off Party

Mark your calendars for Friday, October 12, when the PTO (Parent-Teacher Organization) will host the first Annual Fund kick-off drive at Scholz’s Garten. As you know, tuition does not cover the full cost of educating our daughters, and the annual fund is a way to close that gap by allowing for tax-deductible donations. The party at Scholz’s will allow for plenty of socializing, indulging in delicious BBQ (including vegetarian options), and auctioneer Gayle Stallings, who was such a blast at last year’s gala, will get the Annual Fund off to an exciting and fruitful start.

Invitations for the girls and their parents will be in an upcoming Friday folder. In addition, we hope to expand our fundraising beyond our immediate community, so we will be mailing invitations to grandparents. Making a donation, especially a significant gift, is a way that grandparents can manage their estate. Making a donation now allows the donation to be included in this years’ tax calculation. If there is another relative or friend whom you feel might be interested in supporting the school, please give their name and address to Sylvia.

Now, here’s the really good news: The school is not doing any other fundraising besides the Annual Fund and the gala this year. As a community, we need to focus on our primary fundraisers without other distractions, so please know that your participation is needed and valued!
