Ranch Romp

By Abigail & Lily, Middle School students

The fifth and sixth graders will go to McKinney Roughs next week for Ranch Romp, that will be held from September 24th - September 26th, Monday – Wednesday. Ranch Romp is fun for students because it provides a great learning environment.

A bus will transport the fifth and sixth graders to and from McKinney Roughs. The students will have to walk from their cabins to each activity. The cabins will have bunk beds and we will be staying in the cabins for sleep and down time.

We asked some seventh graders what they enjoyed about Ranch Romp last year. They said that the dorms were awesome and there were hard wood floors that were cool to slide on. Some people said that the food was good, and after dinner, it was great to just hang out with your class. They loved spending time with Ms. Ramberg and each other.

“Bonding with the class somewhere other than in the classroom was cool,” said Maeve from the seventh grade when asked about her favorite thing. The activities at Ranch Romp like rafting, hikes, and game courses were fun.

When the fifth graders were asked what they expected, they said lots of fun, activities, and hang out time. Everyone said they wanted to go. We hope that this year is fun.
