Natives for Neighbours

GSA is hosting a native plant giveaway this Saturday from 10am-1pm.
Before construction begins The Girls’ School of Austin hopes to find some good homes for our native plants on campus. Many of these plants were planted by a fifth grade class several years ago and have been labeled with care instructions by the current 5th grade.

See our GSA Native Plant Guide for details and care instructions.

Please bring pots or burlap for the extraction and taking home of the plants. We will only dig up the ones that have a home.

Students at GSA have been expanding their horizons this winter by exploring cultures from around the globe.

2013 Scholastic Art Award Winners

Congratulations to all of our 7th and 8th grade students who participated in the 2013 Scholastic Art Awards Regional Program. Over 800 artworks from area High School and Middle School students participated in this prestigious competition for 250 regional awards.Out of 6 available Gold Medals for Middle School, GSA and Portfolio Studio took all! Out of 6 Silver Medals for MS, GSA/PS took 5!
