Chaconne (Gilles Bonneau)
This piece is written in the style of late seventeenth century music. A chaconne is a strongly accented dance in three, with a repeated bass line structure.

German composer Georg Philipp Telemann (1681-1767) was more famous than Bach in his time. Play this piece with smooth 8th notes and marcato quarter notes, and check your intonation!
Nightfall (Gilles Bonneau)
This piece was influenced by Celtic melodies from Brittany. The students who first played it found it melancholic and decided to name it Nightfall.
