Classic French Pastry with Mel Pellegrino
Saturday, January 22, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

In this class you will learn how to make the most classic and delicious french desserts. You will be baking eclairs, choux a la creme, and creme brulee! If you don't eat everything, you may be bringing some home to your family. Ms. Pellegrino was born and raised in France, and is currently co-owner of The Cornucopia Bakery in Bristol, NH.

Self Defense - Grades 6, 7, 8
Saturday, January 29, 12:00 - 2:00 p.m.

Having a plan for what you would do in an emergency is empowering. This class will cover safety issues girls sometimes face in high school and beyond. We will focus on safety concerns with peers, from bullying to dating. Girls will learn to recognize danger signs, get help from safe adults, and speak out against violence. We will practice strong body language, effective verbal skills, escapes from grabs, and how to fight back in an emergency.

Valentine's Day Cookie Decorating with Mel Pellegrino
Saturday, February 12, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

Do you ever see those beautifully decorated cookies that everyone loves to have at special occasions? In this class you will learn how to bake your own cookies, make royal icing, and color it to fit the theme of the season of your choice. We will use different piping techniques as well as fondant decoration for details. Each student will go home with their own decorated cookies and recipes will be provided!

Self Defense - Grades 3, 4, 5
Saturday, February 26, 12:00 - 2:00 p.m.
Instruction by Sun Dragon Martial Arts

In this class, girls will learn to speak up for themselves and others, and identify safe adults when they need help. We will practice strong body language, basic physical skills to get out of grabs, and how to fight back in an emergency. We will discuss the importance of reporting bullying and abuse, and how we can all speak out against violence. The goal is for each child to feel less fearful and more empowered.

In this class, girls will learn to speak up for themselves and others, and identify safe adults when they need help. The goal is for each child to feel less fearful and more empowered.
